Ralph Carmichael and Kurt Kaiser: "I'm Here. God's Here. Now We Can Start."

Released in 1973
in the heyday of "summer musicals"
for church youth groups,
and during the height of the
"Jesus Movement."

This type of "contemporary musical context"
was the mainstream church's response
to the advent of what would soon
come to be called
"Contemporary Christian Music."

Evangelistic in nature and content,
these types of musicals
were very popular
and hugely successful.

This one also involved
Andrae Crouch and Danniebelle Hall.

Andrae Crouch & the Disciples: "Keep On Singin'"

Released in 1971,
this LP was the third (3rd) studio LP
for Andrae Crouch & the Disciples.

The whole album is a delight to listen to,
and it includes a couple of Andrae Crouch's
greatest "hits" -
"I've Got Confidence" and "My Tribute"
as well as the much-loved title cut and others.

Andrae Crouch: "Take Me Back"

Released in 1975, this was the sixth (6th) album by Andrae Crouch and the Disciples.
I was, am, and always will be a huge fan of Andrae Crouch.
His inimitable style, his songwriting, the heartfelt lyrics - we have a word for this: anointed.
The ensemble he put together was pure dynamite.
His work totally revolutionized gospel music.
And this album "Take Me Back" is one of my favorites.
Utterly fantastic.

(Thank you, Mark!)

I still can't believe I did it, but I sold this album to a collector in Japan.
