this recording capitalized on the huge previous hit, "The Twist."

Nearly all of Chubby Checker's recordings were released as singles.
He was gigantic "dance" star of the early 1960s.

this LP was approximately the twelfth (12th)
in what is presently well over sixty recordings.
'Moon River' became Andy Williams' primary theme song.

Vaughn Meader: "The First Family"


Incredibly popular parody of the Kennedy White House released in October 1962.
In fact the album was recorded live while President Kennedy was making his Cuban Missile Crisis Speech.
This was the fastest selling album of all time, but sales immediately plummeted when JFK was assassinated the next year.

Elvis Presley: "Potluck"


This was Elvis' fifteenth LP, released in June 1962.
Released in the midst of his burgeoning film career, this LP did not receive as much attention at first at it might have otherwise.


In spite of the not-so-great condition of the jacket, this LP ended up with a fan in Texas.

Peter, Paul, & Mary (debut)


Peter Yarrow, Paul Stookey, and Mary Travers - best known as "Peter, Paul, & Mary" - were hugely popular during the 1960s when American folk music was capturing the hearts and minds of a generation. This is their debut LP, and it features their hits "Lemon Tree" "If I Had a Hammer" and "Where Have All the Flowers Gone" along with several other enjoyable tracks marked by their signature harmonies and down-home strumming. Released in 1962.



This LP went to Germany.
